Laclan entered Ananda College in 1958 when Mr.S.A.Wijayathilake was the Principal and left in 1964 when Col.E.A.Perusinghe was the Principal.
He joined our Association in 1990 and was in the Committee ever since apart for a couple of years due to personal reasons. He held the position of Hon. Secretary of our Association in 1993 and 1994 when Dr.Suren Iyer and Mr.Nalin Vitarana were the Hon. Presidents, respectively.
Laclan was elected the President of our Association for 1996/7. He is proud to have initiated the revival of the Avurudu Uthsavaya started by Dr.Narada Wijayathilake after a lapse of a few years with the full co-operation of the AoA(UK) Committee.
